Wizards of the Coast will open sales for a new ready-to-play Commander deck built around Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT, exclusively on MagicSecretLair.com. The Odds and Ends Secret Lair release combines a strategy of casting odd-mana-value spells for free with 12 foil cards illustrated by artist Ricardo Cavolo, and it goes on sale in just two days.
The deck is priced at $149.99 USD. Instead of a first-come, first-served drop, it will be sold through a 24-hour order window, and every order placed before 8:59 a.m. PT on Tuesday, September 29 will be fulfilled.
That guarantee comes with a long wait for most buyers. Only a limited quantity will ship right away. Remaining orders are expected to ship in July 2027 in North America and August 2027 in the EU and UK, meaning many players won’t have the deck in hand for roughly ten months.
When and How to Order
Secret Lair says the order window is meant to help more fans get the deck. Here is the timeline as announced:

How Yennett’s Odd Strategy Works
Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign first appeared in Commander Legends in 2020 as a white, blue, and black flying Sphinx. Whenever she attacks, you reveal the top card of your library. If its mana value is odd, you may cast it without paying its mana cost. If it isn’t, you draw a card instead, so every attack produces something.
Big spells to cast for free
The deck leans on expensive, high-impact cards that feel especially good to cast at no cost. Profane Transfusion, Ethersworn Sphinx, and Master of Predicaments are among the headline examples in the official announcement.
Controlling the top of the library
Because Yennett’s payoff depends on what sits on top of your deck, the list includes library manipulation to set up each reveal. Sensei’s Divining Top and Brainstorm lead that package, letting players arrange a powerful odd-cost spell before attacking.
Other notable inclusions
Lead Designer Megan Smith rounded out the list with board-control and disruption pieces:
- Space Beleren for control of the battlefield
- Inniaz, the Gale Force to scramble what everyone controls
- Thief of Sanity for card advantage
- Fractured Identity, a longtime Commander favorite
- Psychic Battle, a far more obscure pick that suits the deck’s reveal-heavy theme

Ricardo Cavolo’s exclusive foils
The 12 foil cards feature new artwork found only in this deck. Cavolo, whose style mixes contemporary art with traditional techniques, handled every visual element, including the layout of the rules text. Several illustrations extend beyond the art frame into the text box, and some reimagine familiar Commander staples. The 12 foil basic lands share the same stylized look.
Planeswalker-stamp reprints
The 76 non-foil reprints carry the Planeswalker stamp, the same marking used in Mystery Booster 2 and earlier Secret Lair Commander decks to distinguish these copies from original printings. For collectors, that stamp means these cards are identifiable as part of this product.
Token breakdown
All 10 double-sided tokens reuse artwork from earlier Magic sets. They support cards such as Toxrill, the Corrosive, Nadir Kraken, and Smuggler’s Share.

What to Know Before Launch Day
The Odds and Ends Secret Lair deck sells only during the 24-hour window, so players who want one must order between 9 a.m. PT Monday and 8:59 a.m. PT Tuesday. The display commander included in the box is not legal for sanctioned play. Secret Lair is also encouraging fans to sign up for notifications on its site ahead of the launch.
For Commander players drawn to Yennett’s attack-and-reveal gameplay or to Cavolo’s artwork, the Odds and Ends Secret Lair offering is a complete, ready-to-play package, with the main tradeoff being the extended wait for most orders.
